C’est en proche banlieue de Paris, que l’architecte réputée Camille Hermand a transformé un ancien bureau notarial en une maison familiale. La maison a été surélevée d’une étage et a également reçu une extension de 17m2 au rez-de-chaussée. Le vieux bâtiment cubique exigu donnant sur une cour bétonnée s’est transformé, non pas grâce à une baguette magique, mais au travail de professionnels aguerris, en une charmante maison lumineuse ouverte sur un jardin verdoyant.
La surface initiale a été pratiquement doublée, les pièces décloisonnées, et modernisées. La décoration est sobre, et c’est ce que désiraient les propriétaires. Un sol en béton blanc assorti aux murs immaculés met en valeur le mobilier et les luminaires vintages. L’étage accueille deux chambres confortables, une véritable suite parentale, un dressing et une autre salle de bain. Cette charmante maison lumineuse est le rêve de beaucoup de Parisiens, avec ses beaux volumes optimisés, et sa sobriété de bon goût, qui laisse la place à l’imagination.
Charming and bright house near Paris by architect Camille Hermand
In the suburbs of Paris, the renowned architect Camille Hermand has transformed a former notary’s office into a family home. The house was raised by one floor and also received a 17m2 extension on the ground floor. The old cramped cubic building overlooking a concrete courtyard was transformed, not with a magic wand, but with the work of seasoned professionals, into a charming, bright house opening onto a green garden.
The initial surface area has been practically doubled, the rooms decompartmentalized and modernized. The decor is sober, which is what the owners wanted. A white concrete floor matches the immaculate walls, highlighting the vintage furniture and lighting. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms, a true master suite, a dressing room and another bathroom. This charming and luminous house is the dream of many Parisians, with its beautiful optimised volumes and its tasteful sobriety, which leaves room for the imagination.
