This large family home required the living areas to be redistributed so that they could communicate directly with the green space below. The semi-buried lower level was opened up to the pre-existing veranda thanks to a new structure and appropriate insulation. As a result of this new light, the vast former basement now houses an elegant kitchen, a living room and an office, opening onto a lounge and dining room with direct access to the garden. On the ground floor, a small, intimate lounge provides a haven from the hustle and bustle of family life. Over the two floors, the bedrooms and bathrooms show off their colours. The master suite, perched at the very top, benefits from the cathedral volume under the sloping roof. Photos © Pauline Le Goff
