This small building didn't look like much: narrow, dark and very old. It has been transformed into a light-filled family home, opening onto a garden.  The cellar-like ground floor has been completely decompartmentalised and opened up on all sides, with a new English courtyard on one side and a large veranda overlooking the garden on the other. It houses a light-filled kitchen and dining room. The ground floor is given over to a double lounge. Above, there is a floor for the children, and another for the parents, who are very much at home in a suite with dressing room, study and bathroom. Under a new Mansard-style roof, with high ceilings.
