The bathroom is no longer just a functional space—it has become an integral part of interior design. However, when it comes to introducing color, the question often arises: where should it be used without risking becoming tiresome?

Use ceramics to set the tone
Traditionally, ceramics—tiles, mosaics, or earthenware—dictate the mood of the bathroom. You can play with their colors and sizes to visually balance the space: colorful zellige tiles in the shower, a graphic backsplash above the sink, or a baseboard in shades of blue or green to add rhythm to the space.

Opt for neutral coverings in a contemporary bathroom
For a more contemporary look, it is often best to choose neutral coverings in shades of white, cream, or beige. These timeless tones bring light and elegance, while providing a simple base that you won't tire of. They also allow you to introduce color in a more subtle and controlled way.

Be bold with color on your walls or with wallpaper
For those who want to add a more expressive touch, walls are the ideal canvas. A powdery paint, sage green, or deep blue will liven up the atmosphere without stifling the style. Another option full of character is wallpaper, which is now perfectly suited to bathrooms. Choose a vinyl or water-resistant version to introduce a bold pattern or color that can be easily changed to suit your mood.

In summary
Color in the bathroom should be used subtly. It is often reserved for the elements that are easiest to replace—walls, textiles, accessories, or wallpaper—to maintain the freedom to change the decor without undertaking major work.
